In July 2001, Martin De Porres School Opened four classes for the 9th graders, forty-eight students , at our Springfield Gardens' site. The following year, in September 2002, a site in Brooklyn was opened to accommodate our expansion needs. We opened with eighty-four students and increased to one-hundred and-four students by July 2004.

As a fully Registered High School by the Board of Regents in the State of New York, Martin De Porres High School issued Regents diplomas to its first senior class in June 2005.

In July 2008, we relocated from the park slope section of Brooklyn to the Rosedale section of Queens.
